Das etwas andere Ostern - sieben Jahre HipHop für den guten Zweck
Samstag, 08. März, ab 15.00Uhr in der Muffathalle

Das HipHop-und Benefiz-Event Ostasinn geht am Samstag in die nächste Runde, und lädt zum Kopfnicker-Kulturaustausch in die Muffathalle ein. Ab 15.00 Uhr widmet sich der Jam einen Tag lang HipHop-Kultur in ihren verschiedenen Facetten - mit Konzerten, einer Podiumsdiskussion, Filmvorführungen, Breakdance-Performances und Graffiti-Kunst. Der gesamte Erlös wird der Hilfsorganisation „Ampo“ www.sahel.de, einer Sozialhilfeorganisation in Burkina Faso, zu Gute kommen. Als Highlights des Events stellt Roots Reggae-Legende Max Romeo seine “Best of” und USRapper Wildchild sein neues Album “Jack of all Trades” vor.

Los geht es um 15.00 Uhr mit Filmvorführungen im Muffatcafé.

Der Raumwandler e.V. präsentiert zwei HipHop-Dokus, und bereitet die Besucher damit vor auf die Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema: Kann Musik einen Beitrag zur Entwicklungshilfe leisten?

A lively documentary about the blossoming hiphopscene on the island Zanzibar off the coast of Tanzania. The position of Zanzibar as an important trading post has allowed its culture to be a gateway for foreign influences. This resulted in a unique scene of musical tradition. In the last decade traditional music lost terrain to a new musical direction. Like most other countries around the world, the youth of Zanzibar has fallen in love with rap music. This is the music they can relate to. It has become the voice of the people that normally wouldn’t have a voice. Rap music is also used as a tool to fight against the problems they face like AIDS, poverty and the lack of education. Despite the good intentions of the rap artists, young people in Zanzibar and East Africa as a whole still face a lot of problems with getting their voices heard. This documentary is exploring those difficulties by letting the key players in the islands music scene air out their problems and come up with ideas for a bright future. It will start as a spark and the fire will come later…

Ab 19:30 geht es in der Muffathalle weiter mit Live-Musik. Auf der Bühne stehen u.a. Das Stars aus Burkina Faso gemeinsam mit den Münchner Gruppen Haidenkrampf und I-Shine, Tha 4orce (London), Kankick (USA) sowie die Headliner Max Romeo (Jamaika) und Wildchild (USA).

Die Eventreihe Ostasinn findet bereits zum siebten Mal in Folge statt. Dieses Jahr geht es nicht nur darum, für einen guten Zweck zu feiern: Ziel ist es, nicht nur zu „helfen”, sondern mit den Menschen zusammenzuarbeiten, um die es geht. Rapper aus Afrika performen gemeinsam mit europäischen Künstlern, und bekommen so eine Chance, sich vor einem internationalen Publikum zu präsentieren. Mehr als 55.000 Euro Spendengelder sind in den vergangenen Jahren damit zusammen- gekommen. Erneut ist auch das Kulturreferat der Stadt München als Partner mit an Bord.
